Kambli’s health struggles and cricket journey
Kambli has dealt with several health issues in recent years. In December 2024, he was admitted to a hospital in Thane after suffering from low blood pressure and a urinary tract infection. Doctors also found electrolyte imbalances that were affecting his muscles and movement, along with old blood clots in his brain linked to an earlier stroke.He was discharged in January 2025 after spending about two weeks in treatment. Since then, Kambli has made appearances in public, although concerns about his health and mobility have remained.For fans who remember him at his peak, his struggles have been particularly difficult to watch. Kambli was once considered one of India’s most talented batters. He played 17 Tests, scoring 1,084 runs at an average of 54.20, including four centuries.
