PATNA: An SSB assistant sub-inspector (ASI) posted at the SKMCH sector headquarters in Muzaffarpur has come under scrutiny after three women, including a Delhi-based influencer, accused him of fraud, blackmail and exploitation.The Delhi woman also alleged that the ASI’s associate raped her after luring her to Muzaffarpur and later used a video of the incident to extort money. The SSB has constituted a three-member inquiry committee to probe the allegations.The complainants, one from Delhi and two from Lucknow, have submitted complaints to SSB authorities and district police against ASI Vikas Kumar. They alleged he contacted them through social media, promising to boost their followers and make their content go viral.The Delhi woman alleged she travelled to Muzaffarpur with her two-year-old son in Dec 2025 after being invited by Vikas. She claimed she was lodged at a hotel near Station Road, where Vikas’s associate sexually assaulted her and recorded the act. She further alleged that she was later blackmailed with the video and forced to pay Rs 20,000.She also alleged that after filing an online complaint with SSB headquarters, she was pressured to change her statement and withdraw the complaint when she returned to Muzaffarpur this month.The two Lucknow-based women separately accused the ASI of sending obscene messages, exploiting them through social media interactions and pressuring them to withdraw their complaints.Muzaffarpur police said the online complaints were being examined and a decision on registration of an FIR would be taken after verification.SSB Sector Headquarters second-in-command Rajnish Kumar Moral said the force had taken suo motu cognisance of the matter and formed a three-member inquiry committee. “The woman has been asked to provide evidence regarding her allegations,” he said. Police and SSB inquiries are underway. Further action will depend on the findings and evidence submitted by the complainants.
