MEERUT: A 32-year-old woman, Nasreen, died after allegedly being electrocuted by her husband over her refusal to sell her share of ancestral land, police said.The accused, Israr alias Guddu, allegedly administered electric shocks to her body, including private parts, following a dispute on the intervening night of August 14, police said.Bilaspur police station SHO Jeet Singh said the post-mortem report confirmed death due to electrocution. Nasreen, married to Israr in 2013, had five children.Her father’s property, registered in the names of his seven daughters, was reportedly being pressured to be sold by her in-laws, police said.An FIR was lodged against Israr, his father Hanif, sisters Babbo and Rafat, and brothers-in-law Istekar and Noor Alam. Israr was arrested Sunday night; others remain absconding, police added.
