Bank issues auction notice to Rajpal Yadav
According to the NDTV report, the Central Bank of India, Mumbai, has posted official notices regarding the auction of two properties owned by Rajpal Yadav, one located in the city and the other in a village in Shahjahanpur. The actor owes the bank Rs 16.61 crore and 64 thousand rupees, while the two properties in question are valued at approximately Rs 3.19 crore.
Rajpal Yadav borrows money for his directorial debut
Rajpal Yadav reportedly took the loan from the bank to fund his film ‘Aata Pata Lapata’. Due to non-repayment, the bank has taken possession of the mortgaged properties and initiated the auction process. As per bank records, the actor’s Shahjahanpur properties include farmland and a house in the village, along with a separate property in the city. The auction is expected to be conducted online on September 9.
Family members named as guarantors
It has also been reported that Rajpal Yadav had pledged properties belonging to his wife Radha Yadav and mother Godavari Yadav as guarantors for the loan. Based on this arrangement, the bank has proceeded with action against the properties. In addition to the Shahjahanpur assets, reports suggest that the process of auctioning some of his other properties in Mumbai is also currently underway.As of now, there has been no official statement from Rajpal Yadav regarding the auction notice or his outstanding loan.
