The career of one of the greatest combat sports athletes, Brock Lesnar, has come to an end. The Beast Incarnate wrestled his final match in the main event of SummerSlam 2026 Night 1 and took a major defeat at the hands of Oba Femi. Following the bout, he endorsed The Ruler as the future and called himself the past. This was seen as a belief that Lesnar was done with in-ring action and days later, the statement came officially from the horse’s mouth.

In an interview on the Pat McAfee Show post-SummerSlam 2026, Lesnar appeared online and confirmed that his days as an in-ring competitor were over. The former 10-time WWE Champion said, “I am here today to do this interview and let the whole world know that I am retired. I want to say a big thank you to everybody. Saturday was a very emotional day for me. That’s it for me in the squared circle.”
What are Brock Lesnar’s post-retirement plans?
In the same interview, Brock Lesnar opened on what he planned to do now that his days as a WWE superstar are behind him. The Alpha Male of All Species said that he would dedicate his time to his children, supporting them in their dreams and do some hunting in his leisure time. “I’ve got some hunting lined-up, and I’ve got two boys in hockey, I’m gonna support that and their dreams as long as that’s feasible, and my daughter, she’s got her eye on 2028 Olympics. I’m just gonna spend some more time with the kids and in the woods, and just reap what I’ve sown. Just enjoy life”, said Lesnar.
Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi main evented WWE SummerSlam
Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi squared inside Hell in a Cell in the main event of SummerSlam Night 1. The original match for the headliner was supposed to be Cody Rhodes vs. CM Punk; however, a report by PW Insider stated that Lesnar pushed for their match to go last. It was truly deserving of a main event showdown as Femi and Lesnar tore each other apart. In the end, The Ruler stood tall and defeat Lesnar to end their rivalry. Following the match, he got a huge endorsement from Lesnar.
