According to Filmibeat, the makers were interested in hosting the ‘Jailer 2’ audio launch in Malaysia. Malaysia distributor Datuk Malik, who had organised the ‘Jana Nayagan’ audio launch in the country, recently met Rajinikanth with the proposal. However, the Superstar reportedly declined the offer. Rajinikanth reportedly told the production house, “I don’t want the audio launch in Malaysia. Jana Nayagan’s audio launch was already held there. If I also conduct it there now, it will look like I’m competing with Vijay. I don’t want that.”The reported statement has since gone viral on social media. But it’s interesting to note that neither Rajinikanth nor the makers have issued an official statement on the claim.
