After their Europe trip, Brittany Mahomes shared a series of Instagram Stories about her youngest son, Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III. While travelling through Europe with Patrick Mahomes and their children, the couple let Bronze watch TV during meals so he would stay calm in restaurants.The plan worked exactly as they hoped. Bronze ate without complaints, making family dinners much easier while they were away. But after returning home, Brittany realized the routine had become a daily expectation.Explaining what happened in an Instagram Story, she wrote, “We started a bad habit with Bronze while on vacation, we started letting him watch TV when eating literally just to keep him chill and not throw fits in public.”Almost immediately, Bronze refused to eat unless a show played in front of him. Looking for ideas, Brittany asked fellow parents for help through Instagram Stories.“He legit will not eat a single thing unless he gets a show, and then if he does, he will eat anything. So I need secrets on how to break this and get him to eat,” she wrote.The response came almost immediately. Many parents suggested replacing screen time with books to keep Bronze engaged at the table.Brittany decided to try it. Instead of turning on the TV, she sat beside Bronze, read books, asked him questions and made dinner more interactive. The change paid off.Sharing another Instagram Story later that day, she wrote, “We did try a few books and I was really engaging into the books and asking him lots of questions and really explained a lot to him.
