NEW DELHI: A woman protester allegedly snatched the keys of a police bus carrying detained protesters during a demonstration in Delhi, preventing the vehicle from moving.A video of the incident has surfaced on social media.The incident took place amid protests in the national capital demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.Heavy police deployment was witnessed at the protest sites, with several demonstrators detained during the agitation.In the viral video, the woman approached a police bus that was preparing to leave with detained protesters and managed to snatch its keys. She then ran away with them, leaving the bus stranded and unable to move.The incident quickly drew attention on social media, with users divided over the protester’s action.While some praised her for preventing the vehicle carrying detained protesters from leaving, others questioned whether taking the keys of a police vehicle could lead to legal action.The authenticity of the video could not be independently verified by TOI.Meanwhile, All India Students’ Association (AISA) national president Neha Bora was detained by Delhi Police on Sunday while leading a protest march towards Jantar Mantar.The march, which began near Andhra Bhawan Circle on Ashoka Road, was part of the third consecutive day of demonstrations by students and youth demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.AISA members and supporters raised slogans against the Election Commission as they attempted to move towards Jantar Mantar despite heavy barricading and security deployment.Police stopped the protesters as they approached the designated protest site and detained several demonstrators, including Bora.The protests came amid heightened security in central Delhi, with police deploying personnel and barricades to prevent protesters from moving beyond designated areas.
