Who will sign Tyreek Hill? Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers emerge as top landing spots | NFL News
Tyreek Hill’s NFL future has become the biggest broadcasting topic of discussion. From his unexpected departure from the Miami Dolphins in February to NFL teams urgently needing receiving corps help in October 2026.Several teams have injured wide receivers, including the Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Los Angeles Rams, and San Francisco 49ers. We’ll discuss the Packers and the Vikings here.Hill’s extensive experience, explosive speed, and unique ability to stretch defenses make him a coveted option for a team seeking additional and urgent offensive firepower. However, two factors may play an immense role in any mid-season transaction between an NFL team and Tyreek Hill: his recovery timeline from a serious September 2025 knee injury and the financial considerations that keep both parties happy.
Tyreek Hill could help Packers in Jayden Reed ’s season ending neck injury absence
The Green Bay Packers have only recently surfaced in the discussion about Tyreek Hill’s future. Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed will undergo season-ending neck surgery, as per head coach Matt LaFleur. He will be out for a long time. He suffered a brutal injury in the Week 2 victory over the New York Jets.Even though the injury looked scary, it may not be career-ending for Jayden Reed, according to Matt LaFleur. Two Jets players dashed with Reed’s helmet, one from the front, another from the side, and then on top of the nape of his neck.Anyhow, Reed’s long absence creates a vacant spot for Tyreek Hill, who has remained an unrestricted free agent since February. Adding Hill could give Green Bay a massive weapon on the gridiron, thereby creating more reliable opportunities for quarterback Jordan Love. Hill’s speed could complement the Packers’ existing offensive personnel.
Vikings could add Tyreek Hill amid Justin Jefferson ’s ankle injury scare
Tyreek Hill dropped a cryptic “I think I’m ready for some cold weather” message on X. The Minnesota Vikings are considered a cold-weather team. They play their home games indoors in a climate-controlled stadium.Minnesota is known for its harsh, freezing winters, heavy snow, and sub-zero temperatures. Is Hill hinting at a Minnesota union? No wonder, but the team surely needs some stunner.Vikings star WR Justin Jefferson is injured. He suffered an ankle injury in the Week 3 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He did not return to the gridiron.Losing Jefferson is like losing all hopes of winning. Who better than Tyreek Hill? To come and save a franchise in dire need. He was known for being the best in Miami and, when he played for the Kansas City Chiefs, he caught the great Patrick Mahomes’ explosive throws.Hill possesses a unique ability to threaten defenses vertically because of his ruthlessly scary speed and frustrating volatility.According to The Athletic’s Jess Bryant, the Minnesota Vikings hope Justin Jefferson will play Sunday vs. the Miami Dolphins. If the Vikings sign Hill for that Week 4 game against his former team, nothing could be a comeback as thrilling as this one for Hill!Anyhow, The Athletic’s Jess Bryant further reported that the Vikings have placed Justin Jefferson day-to-day. Even if he plays, he will be a low-end WR1. If he doesn’t play, Jordan Addison will be a locked-in WR2. And Jauan Jennings is a TD-dependent WR4.
