HYDERABAD: A 34-year-old woman was found murdered inside a OYO hotel room in SR Nagar on Tuesday, hours after the man she had been staying with allegedly left the premises, telling hotel staff that she would check out after breakfast.Police suspect that a late-night quarrel between the two may have ended in a fatal assault. The accused, identified as A Srinivas (38), allegedly fled the hotel around 3.30am and is currently being traced by police.The deceased, B Sirisha, a bank customer care executive and a native of Nagasamudram in Vikarabad district, had been in a relationship with Srinivas, a native of Obulapur village in the same district. Sirisha was a divorcee.According to police, Srinivas had been staying at the hotel since September 9, while Sirisha checked into his room on September 24. The two allegedly used fake Aadhaar cards with false names as identity proof while checking in. Srinivas reportedly registered as Ganesh and Sirisha as Durga.At around 3.30am on Tuesday, Srinivas left the hotel, allegedly telling reception staff that Sirisha would leave later in the morning after breakfast. However, she did not respond when hotel employees repeatedly rang the doorbell.When there was no response until noon, hotel staff alerted police. In the presence of police personnel, employees opened room No. 103 using a duplicate key and found Sirisha lying dead on the bed. A food plate was found beside her.“We suspect that Sirisha and Srinivas had an argument in the night and he attacked her with a blunt object, causing death,” Jubilee Hills DCP A Ramana Reddy said.Police have registered a case against Srinivas under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for murder.A Clues team examined the room and collected forensic evidence from the scene. Police have also obtained CCTV footage from the hotel as part of the investigation.Special teams have been formed to trace Srinivas. Police teams have been sent to his native village and are also checking bus and railway stations to locate and apprehend him.
