KBC 18: Amitabh Bachchan reacts after Ujjwal Nikam reveals Ajmal Kasab claimed he came to meet Big B during 26/11 case; ‘Wahi hum Goli maar dete Usse’ |

The recent episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 18 featured actors Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi along with Ujjwal Nikam, who appeared to promote their upcoming film, Prahaar – The Untold Story. During the episode, host Amitabh Bachchan was seen giving a strong reaction after public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam shared what Ajmal Kasab had allegedly told him during the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack trial. Big B’s instant reaction was, “Wahi hum goli maar dete use.”While discussing the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks and the subsequent trial, Amitabh asked Nikam why Kasab was executed nearly four years after the attacks. The veteran actor asked, “Usse toh wahi gaad dena chahiye tha. Itna waqt kyun laga?” While answering to Mr. Bachchan’s question, Nikam talked about his first interaction with Kasab inside the courtroom. He shared, “Ajmal Kasab jab court mein aaya toh woh mujhe ghur ke dekh raha tha, main usse dekh raha tha.“Nikam further revealed something that left everyone stunned. Nikam recalled that Kasab had allegedly told him that he came to Mumbai to meet Amitabh Bachchan. He said, “Aapko tajjub hoga joh aage usne kaha tha ki main toh Amitabh ji ko dekhne ke liye aaya tha. Yeh sach mein hua hai.”As soon as the legendary actor heard this statement from Nikam, he replied, “Nahi nahi Sir agar woh aaya hoga toh woh hamare ghar se jaane wala nahi tha. Wahi hum goli maar dete use.”Nikam further went on to share the reason behind the delay in the trial. He stated that the law considers an accused innocent until proven guilty and gives them the right to defend themselves. He added that Kasab later allegedly claimed that his associate Smail was the one who carried out the shooting and that he was not responsible for the crime.Nikam revealed how the prosecution challenged this claim with CCTV footage. He alleged that the footage showed Kasab laughing while a young girl was being shot and added that the evidence was shown in court during the trial.Nikam also shared how Kasab used different tactics and lies during the case. Kasab even claimed that he was a minor and that the Juvenile Justice law should apply to him. The authorities then conducted tests, including a bone-density test to verify his age.He further talked about appearing before the Bombay High Court after the trial court sentenced Kasab to death. Kasab appeared before the court through video conferencing and allegedly spat at the camera during the hearing.Nikam revealed that towards the end of the case, Kasab began to regret his actions. He said seeing Kasab feel sorry for what he had done was the biggest punishment for him.
