Ranveer Singh pledges to fund education for 1,000 girls; Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt to refurbish 20 schools |

Ranveer Singh visited Mumbai’s iconic Lalbaugcha Raja pandal on Thursday night to seek the blessings of Lord Ganesha during the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi. Dressed in a white kurta-pyjama, the actor was seen at his jovial best, greeting fans along the way. After offering his prayers to Bappa, the actor was seen pausing to give a statement to a news channel.While revealing that he made a visit to the Pandal to thank Bappa for a successful year, Ranveer also shared his prayers and hope for the year ahead. “It’s great to be here,” he told Network18 and went on to add, “The past year has been filled with happiness for me and my family, thanks to Bappa’s blessings. I came here, had his darshan, and thanked him.”“I sought his blessings for the journey ahead,” he added.Ranveer won hearts when he revealed that as part of the festivities, he has pledged to educate 1,000 girls. He shared, “I pledge to join the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan and help 1,000 girls with their education. I hope this will please Bappa, and his blessings will always be with us.”According to reports, Ranveer is among the film personalities who are paricipating in the initiative. Fellow actors Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor also reportedly making commitments to support the refurbish 20 schools in India.On the work front, Ranveer will hope to recreate the box office success of ‘Dhurandhar’ and ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ with his next film, Jay Mehta’s ‘Pralay’. The actor also has a lot to look forward to on a personal front, as he is awaiting the arrival of his second child with wife, Deepika Padukone.Meanwhile, Ranbir and Alia have a busy year ahead.
