NEW DELHI: PM Narendra Modi discussed ways to boost India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC) connectivity and strategic energy infrastructure in a meeting with Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who is representing UAE at the Brics summit.Modi said after the meeting that India-UAE ties had been transformed over the last few years and the two sides were raising their ambitions even higher now.“Discussed taking our Strategic Partnership forward across defence, AI, space, critical minerals, energy, food security and connectivity. From investment ties to new possibilities in strategic energy infrastructure and IMEC connectivity, there is immense potential ahead,” said the PM, adding that at a time of uncertainty in West Asia, a strong India-UAE relationship was a symbol of stability, prosperity and peace.India and UAE had signed an agreement in 2024 concerning the operation of IMEC. The main elements of the agreement include the development and management of a logistics platform, including a digital ecosystem, and the provision of supply chain services to handle all types of general cargo, bulk, containers and liquid bulk in order to enable IMEC.
