FARIDABAD: A 26-year-old man allegedly died after jumping in front of a moving train in Faridabad, police said on Sunday.According to police, the deceased had been under mental stress since his mother died of cancer around one-and-a-half months ago.The deceased, identified as Pravesh, was a resident of Vishnu Colony. On Saturday morning, his sister tied a Rakhi on him as the family celebrated the festival together.Later in the day, Pravesh prepared food for his father and served him the meal before leaving the house in the evening.“After the meal, Pravesh told his father that he was going out for a while and would return soon. He also took about Rs 100 from his father,” police said.Pravesh did not return home later that night, prompting his family to search for him. They were unable to trace him and received information from railway police the following morning about a young man who had died after being struck by a train.The family reached the location and identified the deceased as Pravesh, police said.Police said Pravesh had been experiencing mental stress following the death of his mother from cancer about six weeks earlier.Following a post-mortem examination, railway police handed over the body to the family
