GWALIOR: A social media-inspired stunt in Gwalior ended with a car owner being fined Rs 5,500 and asked to get his vehicle washed after his girlfriend covered it with thousands of lipstick kiss marks.Gwalior resident Aditya Sikarwar’s car became the center of attention after his girlfriend spent nearly four hours covering its exterior with an estimated 3,400 kiss-shaped imprints.The lipstick marks were spread across almost every visible part of the vehicle, including the doors, bonnet, boot and pillars, turning the car into an unusual moving canvas.The stunt, however, soon caught the attention of traffic police after images of the vehicle circulated on social media. Officers identified the car from its registration number and traced it to the Thatipur area.Police said the extensive modification to the vehicle’s exterior violated provisions related to vehicle appearance and road safety under motor vehicle regulations. Sikarwar was subsequently called in and acknowledged the modification.SP Dharamveer Yadav said police imposed a fine of Rs 5,500 and had the lipstick marks removed from the vehicle.The unusual episode has since become a cautionary example of how social media trends can run into traffic regulations, even when they are intended as harmless fun.
