A few hours ago, as per ESPN’s Dave McMenamin, he said, “Dončić was not consulted about the sale, sources told ESPN, but he plans to have a video conference call with Iger and Kushner next week from Slovenia as he prepares to host his teammates for a minicamp in his home country…”This has raised eyebrows among many as Luka Dončić is seen as the next leader of the team after the NBA legend LeBron James was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers.Many have also dragged LeBron James into this as some feel the deal could have gone differently if the NBA legend remained in the team.However, neither Luka Dončić nor the Los Angeles Lakers’ has commented on the controversy.A few hours ago, the star player Luka Dončić took to his X as he posted, “Being a Laker means everything to me, and I’m excited to get back on the court and bring a championship to LA…”The Los Angeles Lakers’ star player added, “I’ve gotten used to big changes over these last few years, but I know that no matter what, there is no limit to the potential of this iconic franchise. I look forward to meeting Josh and Bob so we can get to work building something special in LA together.”
