The Delhi Development Authority recently released a list of 1,224 ready-to-move flats under the “DDA Karmajeevi Awaas Yojana 2026”, with a flat 25% discount across all categories. The flats are located in Pocket 11, Sector A1 to A4, Narela, North-West Delhi.With accommodations allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis, the scheme is designed for “Karmajeevis”, a term covering two categories:1. Serving/Retired regular and permanent personnel of Central/State Government, PSUs, Autonomous Bodies, Public Sector Banks, Local Bodies, Government Universities and Hospitals.2. Professionally qualified persons, such as doctors, lawyers, chartered accountants, architects, planners, engineers, scientists and teachers.To avail a flat, the applicant must be an Indian citizen, who has attained the age of majority.
The flats
Out of the 1,224 units, 384 are 1-BHK flats (Block Y), 432 are 2-BHK flats (Blocks A, B and C), and 408 are 3-BHK flats (Blocks Q, R and S).Plinth areas range from roughly 60-61 sqm for 1-BHK units to 164-184 sqm for 3-BHK units. Booking amounts are Rs. 50,000 for a 1-BHK, Rs. 4,00,000 for a 2-BHK, and Rs. 10,00,000 for a 3-BHK flat, adjustable against the final price but non-refundable on cancellation.There is no restriction on already owning property, and multiple flats across categories may be purchased.
Timeline and process
Registration for the scheme opened on July 24, 2026 via DDA’s Awaas Portal. It requires a non-refundable fee of Rs. 2,500. While, flat booking begins on August 15, 2026.Once a flat is selected, the applicants will be given a 15-minute window to deposit the booking amount online. The scheme closes on 30 October 2026, or earlier if flats run out. The flat price must be paid within 60 days of the Demand-cum-Allotment Letter, with a further 30-day grace period available at 10 per cent simple interest.
Documents required
Documents required for government/PSU personnel include Employee’s/Pensioner’s ID card or Employer Certificate, along with Salary Slip or Form 16. For professionally qualified persons, a professional degree certificate along with either a professional registration certificate, the latest Income Tax Return, or an Employee Identity Card/Employer Certificate.
