NEW DELHI: The Centre told the Supreme Court on Friday that audio recordings allegedly linking former Manipur CM N Biren Singh<\/a> to the ethnic violence in the state were manipulated.Additional solicitor general Aishwarya Bhati told a bench of Justices Sanjay Kumar and Sanjeev Sachdeva that the forensic lab\u2019s findings indicated that the recordings contained multiple alterations.\u201cI want to urge that this writ petition be dismissed with costs. I spoke to the CFSL doctor, and I told them to send me a letter, and they have sent me a letter. This is clearly manipulated,\u201d she said.The bench directed that the latest forensic report prepared by National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) be shared with Kuki Organisation for Human Rights, which is seeking investigation into audio clips allegedly implicating Biren Singh in the state\u2019s ethnic violence.<\/p>\n
