NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi Friday met 45 National Democratic Alliance (NDA) MPs at a breakfast meeting amid the stormy Parliament monsoon session, advising the parliamentarians to “not carry the anxiety from inside the House to outside” and avoid the “web of Lutyens’ Delhi”.In the meeting, which also included the rebel factions from the Uddhav Sena and Mamata Banerjee’s TMC<\/a>, PM Modi said: “No one should say anything trashy on TV. Maintain full dignity at all times. Engage actively in social media through Facebook, Instagram and X; interact with youth, inform government welfare work, encourage youth for sports activities.”Modi advised the MPs to follow the party line and calmly present their views on every issue and that there was “no need to speak angrily or shout (in House) in anger”.“Do not carry the anxiety from inside the House to outside. Because sometimes there is such an atmosphere in the House that it causes anxiety, you should not carry it with you. There is also no need to speak angrily or shout in anger. You all know the party line, and you should calmly present your views on every issue,” said PM Modi as per the sources who informed news agency ANI.<\/p>\n

NDA a ‘collective identity’<\/h3>\n<\/p>\n

Jagdish Basunia, a leader of the Nationalist Citizens Party of India (NCPI), which was formed after breaking away from the TMC, described his meeting with Modi as a “great interaction,” noting that the Prime Minister emphasised the collective identity of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) as a “family.”Speaking to ANI after the session, Basunia characterised the meeting as highly cordial and focused on the shared goal of national development.“It was a great interaction with PM Modi over breakfast today, a very cordial meeting. PM told us we are all part of the NDA family. Let’s work together for public welfare, the way NDA works,” Basunia said.<\/p>\n
