Joel Kaplan, Meta\u2019s chief global affairs officer, said he had apologised to Vaishnaw \u201con behalf of Meta for the error restricting PM Modi\u2019s post\u201d. The government had also raised concerns over CSAM, deepfake content and Meta\u2019s content moderation systems.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"18\"\/>The government has further questioned Meta\u2019s compliance with Indian laws and its eligibility for safe-harbour protection under Section 79 of the Information Technology Act, which provides intermediaries protection from liability for third-party content subject to certain conditions.<\/div>\n<p><br \/>\n<br \/><a
