Kenny Pickett wants to play! Did he play in the Cleveland Browns? Not much. Did he play with the Las Vegas Raiders? Not much.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"1\"\/>Did he back Jalen Hurts in the Super Bowl 59 battle? Yes. Did the Super Bowl LIX winner prove himself in the Pittsburgh Steelers? Not much.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"4\"\/>But when he finally lands a starting job at a new franchise, the Carolina Panthers, he gets trolled for his small hands.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"6\"\/>Leading sports trading app Novig shared the news that Kenny Pickett had landed the starter role, along with a picture of Pickett throwing the ball with extremely small hands.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"8\"\/>This is beyond imagination, even for cyber trolling. Where does this trolling for hands come from? His whole face and body are of the normal measures [no changes there].<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"27\"\/>And their X post goes insanely viral. Already reached 1.7 million viewers with 170+ comments, 520+ reposts, 10,000+ hearts, and 420+ bookmarks.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"29\"\/>\u201cI can tell this image is altered by looking at his hands. He should have gloves on,\u201d wrote one user.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"31\"\/>Another said, \u201cwhat the f*ck this isn\u2019t even funny he has normal sized hands. <!-- -->All funny, haha, but he\u2019s making so much money you wouldn\u2019t even fathom how much money he makes in a DAY. Loser Twitter fingers always talking down on legends of the game. Learn some respect.\u201d<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"35\"\/>A post read, \u201cyou mean Super Bowl 59 Champion Kenny Pickett?\u201d A user wondered, \u201cso this is what his career has been reduced to\u2026.how sad.\u201d<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"37\"\/>Kenny Pickett is scheduled to start the Hall of Fame game and Bryce Young will be watching him play from the bench [read: he will sit out the game as a resting starter]. But, but, but. What if Young loses the starting job to Pickett?<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"39\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h2>Bryce Young could lose starting job to Kenny Pickett in Carolina<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p>The Carolina Panthers drafted Bryce Young as their first-round first overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"43\"\/>He played college football for the Alabama Crimson Tide from 2020 to 2022. He was a CFP national champion in 2020 and a Heisman Trophy winner in 2021.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"45\"\/>But when he entered the NFL, he struggled to leave his mark. The 5-foot-10, 204-pounder recorded an equal number of touchdowns and interceptions.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"47\"\/>He amassed 2,877 passing yards and 11 TDs but 10 INTs in 16 games of his rookie season. The next year, he had fewer passing yards but more touchdowns, with 9 INTs in 14 games.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"50\"\/>In 2025, he scored 3,000+ passing yards, 23 TDs, but more INTs: 11. As a result, the Panthers signed Kenny Pickett in 2026 offseason.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"52\"\/>And even chose him over Young for the Panthers\u2019 2026 preseason opener. If this is the case now, he could lose his starting job for the upcoming season.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"55\"\/>Even Alex Kay of Bleacher Report thinks so. Young had a bounce-back performance in 2025. He took Carolina to the playoffs, something that had not happened since 2017, back when Cam Newton was the quarterback.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"58\"\/>But still taking the Panthers to the playoffs is no guarantee that he\u2019d be Carolina\u2019s long-term signal-caller solution.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"60\"\/>Young got his fifth-year option, but 2026 is his make-or-break year.
