According to ESPN, 57-year-old Mia was taken to a hospital and is now in stable condition.<!-- --> Eric Bieniemy was with the Chiefs at training camp in St. Joseph, Missouri, when the incident happened. The Chiefs confirmed they are aware of the situation, while Loudoun County authorities said one person suffered serious injuries but did not publicly identify the victim.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"3\"\/><strong><\/p>\n<p><h2>Eric Bieniemy steps away from Kansas City Chiefs camp as Mia Bieniemy recovers<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p><\/strong><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"5\"\/>ESPN Chiefs reporter Nate Taylor reported that Mia Bieniemy is in stable condition after the shooting. Following the incident, Eric Bieniemy left the Chiefs to be with his family and did not attend Monday\u2019s training camp practice.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"9\"\/>The Chiefs also released a statement to ESPN, saying, \u201cWe are aware of an incident involving Eric Bieniemy\u2019s family.\u201d The team did not share further details.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"11\"\/>Loudoun County authorities told ESPN that officers responded to the home after receiving reports of a shooting. <span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"13\"\/>They confirmed that one person was being treated for serious injuries but did not officially name the victim. It marked his return to the franchise after three seasons away.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"22\"\/>Bieniemy left the Chiefs in 2023 to become the offensive coordinator of the Washington Commanders. <span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"25\"\/>The team finished that season with a 4-13 record while Sam Howell was the starting quarterback. He later spent one season at UCLA before joining the Chicago Bears as running backs coach under head coach Ben Johnson.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"28\"\/>Before leaving Kansas City, Bieniemy helped the Chiefs win two Super Bowls and built a strong reputation as one of the league\u2019s respected offensive coaches. <span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"30\"\/>Even with that success, he has not yet received an NFL head coaching job.
