The recall was issued after it was found that the products contain milk and soya that are not listed on the label.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"2\"\/>Consumers with allergies to milk or soya are being urged not to eat these products. The UK Food Standards Agency (FSA) has advised affected customers to return the products to the shop where they were bought for a full refund.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"4\"\/>The recalled chocolates include novelty-shaped products such as ladybirds, butterflies, hearts and sports cars.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"6\"\/>While the products are not considered a risk to the general public, they may cause serious allergic reactions in people who cannot consume milk or soya.<\/p>\n<div class=\"Qkqxz\">\n<h2>CJP Jantar Mantar Protest Updates<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<p><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"10\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h2>Why are chocolates being recalled<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"12\"\/>According to the Food Standards Agency, Bon Bons Wholesale Ltd is recalling the products because they contain milk and soya that are missing from the ingredient information on the packaging.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"14\"\/>Food labels are important because they help people with allergies identify ingredients that could trigger serious reactions. When allergens are not declared, consumers may unknowingly eat food that is unsafe for them.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"16\"\/>The FSA said, &#8220;These products contain milk and soya making them a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents and\/or an allergy to soya.&#8221;<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"19\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h2>List of recalled products<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"21\"\/>The recall covers several novelty chocolate products. These include Medium Coloured Ladybird with best-before dates of 16 January 2028 and 1 March 2027; Small Red Ladybird with best-before dates of 21 January 2027 and 25 January 2027; Large Red Heart with best-before dates of 22 November 2027, 23 December 2027, and 26 December 2027; Mini Butterflies with best-before dates of 21 March 2027 and 9 September 2027; and Sports Car with a best-before date of 15 August 2027.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"24\"\/><\/p>\n<div data-pos=\"0\" class=\"id-r-component iIpbx undefined  &#10;        \">\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Picture: Food Standards Agency\" msid=\"132639529\" width=\"\" title=\"Picture: Food Standards Agency\" placeholdersrc=\"https:\/\/static.toiimg.com\/photo\/83033472.cms\" imgsize=\"\" resizemode=\"4\" offsetvertical=\"0\" placeholdermsid=\"47529300\" type=\"thumb\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/static.toiimg.com\/photo\/msid-132639529\/picture-food-standards-agency.jpg\" data-api-prerender=\"true\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Picture: Food Standards Agency<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"26\"\/>Anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, or an allergy to soya, should check whether they have bought any of these products.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"28\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h2>What customers should do<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"30\"\/>The Food Standards Agency has advised people who have a milk or soya allergy not to return the products to the shop where they were purchased to receive a full refund.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"32\"\/>The FSA said Bon Bons Wholesale Ltd is recalling the affected products from customers and has been asked to contact relevant allergy support organisations so that their members are informed about the recall.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"35\"\/>The agency added, &#8220;The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers. These notices explain to customers why the products are being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the products.&#8221;<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"37\"\/>Customers who need more information or want to arrange a refund can contact Bon Bons Wholesale Ltd by emailing enquiries@bonbons.co.uk or by calling 01937 840681.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"40\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h2>How food recalls work<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"42\"\/>The Food Standards Agency said food products may be withdrawn from sale or recalled when there is a problem that could affect consumer safety.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"45\"\/>A withdrawal removes products from shop shelves before customers buy them.
