His streak of eight, stretching from June to July 2026, overtakes Dhoni&#8217;s previous best of seven achieved between 2010 and 2012. <span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"10\"\/>Virat Kohli follows with six consecutive toss wins, while Rohit Sharma and Dhoni also feature with streaks of five.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"12\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h2>Most consecutive tosses won by an India captain in T20Is:<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"14\"\/><\/p>\n<div class=\"cdatainfo   id-r-component \" data-pos=\"15\">\n<ul>\n<li>8 \u2013 Shreyas Iyer (June 2026 \u2013 July 2026)<\/li>\n<li>7 \u2013 MS Dhoni (May 2010 \u2013 February 2012)<\/li>\n<li>6 \u2013 Virat Kohli (August 2019 \u2013 December 2019)<\/li>\n<li>5 \u2013 Rohit Sharma (February 2020 \u2013 February 2022)<\/li>\n<li>5 \u2013 MS Dhoni (September 2007)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"16\"\/>After winning the toss, Iyer explained the decision to bowl first, saying the surface appeared to have good pace and bounce.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"20\"\/>&#8220;We are going to bowl first. This is my first time here, so I don&#8217;t know how the wicket is going to play. But looking at the practice wickets and the practice wickets on the side, there was a decent amount of bounce,&#8221; Iyer said.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"22\"\/>He also praised Zimbabwe&#8217;s recent progress, adding, &#8220;They&#8217;ve been playing brilliantly for the last couple of years&#8230; The batsmen and the bowlers executing their strengths. It was amazing.&#8221;<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"24\"\/>Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza admitted the Harare pitch looked different from its usual nature and expected plenty of runs despite some early assistance for the seamers.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"27\"\/>&#8220;This is not your typical Harare Sports Club wicket.
