Jeff Bezos<\/a> believes that AI can help you support your family while working three days a week. In an interview with Fox News recently, the Amazon<\/a> founder told host Bret Baier he believes AI\u2019s productivity gains could let some people decide, \u201cI can support my family by working three days a week.\u201d Bezos further claimed that in families where both partners work, one person may choose to stop working if they no longer need a second income. While Jeff Bezos did not explain how this could happen, he backed the argument by stating that AI may lead to labor shortages rather than large-scale job losses.<\/p>\n

During the interview, Jeff Bezos stated that he does not believe that AI will result in job cuts. A \u201clot of smart people are prognosticating\u201d AI-driven job losses, Bezos said adding \u201cI just happen to disagree with those smart people.\u201dWhen the host pointed at nearly 30,000 job cuts at Amazon in the last 12 months, Jeff Bezos blamed the company\u2019s hiring spree and its rapid headcount growth after the Covid-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n

Host Bret Baier also asked Jeff Bezos about his comments that AI was kind of an \u201cindustrial bubble\u201d that is \u201cgood.\u201dThe billionaire replied saying: \u201cWhat happens in these industrial bubbles\u2026speculators can lose money because they\u2019re investing in all of these things. But the inventions don\u2019t disappear when the bubble pops.\u201dAsked if the world was witnessing a bubble right now, Jeff Bezos replied: \u201cIt\u2019s very hard to know. What I do know is the technology is real.\u201d He further argued that a bubble can be good for society, if not investors, because it allows every idea to be funded.<\/p>\n

Recently, President Donald Trump rebranded artificial intelligence, AI to super intelligence, SI. Bezos said that he like SI because \u201cartificial is not a very flattering thing\u2026Nobody wants an artificial sweetener or artificial flavoring. Artificial sort of means fake.\u201d<\/p><\/div>\n
