The wife of Edmonton Oilers captain <a href=\"https:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/topic\/connor-mcdavid\" styleobj=\"[object Object]\" class=\"\" commonstate=\"[object Object]\" frmappuse=\"1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Connor McDavid<\/a> started with interior design before expanding into fashion, furniture, food and publishing. <!-- -->Behind that growth was a challenge she had to face early in her career: learning the business side of her creative work.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"5\"\/>That part of Lauren\u2019s journey became more important as she took on more projects. By June 2025, she had several ventures under her name, while Connor had watched closely as she learned to turn her ideas into businesses. His support also came at a time when Lauren needed help taking her first company to the next level.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"9\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h2> Connor McDavid saw how hard <keyword id=\"25476381\" type=\"General\" weightage=\"20\" keywordseo=\"lauren-kyle\" source=\"keywords\">Lauren Kyle<\/keyword> was working behind the scenes<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p>Lauren spoke about her entrepreneurial journey in a June 8, 2025 interview with theScore. She explained that she had always pictured herself working for herself and had grown up around people who ran their own businesses. Her first major venture was Kyle &amp; Co., an interior design company that gave her a place to turn her ideas into a career.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"12\"\/>However, creativity alone could not handle every part of running a growing company. Connor explained during the same theScore interview that creative people can sometimes struggle with the business side of their ideas. He had seen Lauren put considerable time and energy into Kyle &amp; Co. and wanted to help her move the company forward.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"16\"\/>\u201cI know how hard she works, and I know the time and energy that she puts into it,\u201d Connor said while discussing Lauren\u2019s business journey with theScore in June 2025.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"18\"\/>Connor had also given Lauren sessions with a business coach as a birthday gift a few years earlier. <!-- -->The support proved useful because Lauren wanted to grow beyond her first company without losing the creative side that had driven her from the beginning.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"22\"\/>Lauren later explained just how valuable that experience became for her. \u201cWithout my business coach, I definitely wouldn&#8217;t be able to have this many businesses at one time,\u201d she told theScore in June 2025. She said the coaching helped change her mindset and gave her a better understanding of how to grow as an entrepreneur.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"25\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h2>Lauren Kyle used that lesson to expand far beyond interior design<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p>The business coaching became part of a much bigger change in Lauren\u2019s career. By June 2025, her portfolio included Kyle &amp; Co., Sports Club Atelier, Trove Living and Bar Trove, while she was also preparing a cookbook.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"28\"\/>Sports Club Atelier grew from Lauren\u2019s interest in creating better-looking sports apparel. Trove Living gave her interior design work a furniture and showroom component, while Bar Trove brought her creative approach into the restaurant space in downtown Edmonton. <!-- -->Her cookbook followed the same idea by focusing on experiences such as dinner parties and girls\u2019 weekends instead of simply dividing recipes into traditional categories.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"32\"\/>Lauren\u2019s approach has remained consistent across those projects. She wants people to feel something when they enter a space, wear something she designed or experience something she created. That idea also explains why Connor has remained impressed by the work happening behind the scenes.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"36\"\/>\u201cI get a front row seat to everything she\u2019s building,\u201d Connor said in theScore\u2019s June 2025 profile.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"38\"\/>Lauren\u2019s story is therefore about more than being Connor McDavid\u2019s wife.
