He died at 5:20 am. His son, Malhar, confirmed the news to The Indian Express and said, \u201cYes, the information is true. <!-- -->I am in Pune right now and reaching Goa. I will come up with detailed statement. He died due to natural reasons.&#8221; <span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"10\"\/>Maharashtra Cultural Affairs Minister Ashish Shelar announced that Nana would be accorded a state funeral, recognising his immense contribution to theatre and cinema. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also paid his last respects to the actor at Pune Airport after his mortal remains arrived from Goa.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"14\"\/><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"16\"\/><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"18\"\/>The mortal remains were subsequently taken from the airport to Donje village, where the final rites are being held. As Nana\u2019s mortal remains have reached the farmhouse, members of the film industry and political fraternity have started arriving to pay their last respects to the veteran actor.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"20\"\/>Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister <a href=\"https:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/topic\/eknath-shinde\" styleobj=\"[object Object]\" class=\"\" commonstate=\"[object Object]\" frmappuse=\"1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Eknath Shinde<\/a> was among the first prominent personalities to reach the venue for Nana Patekar\u2019s funeral.
