According to the autopsy report and the testimony of Dr Kapil Garg, Amit\u2019s mouth and nose had been pressed and his neck compressed. The pressure had also fractured his hyoid bone and thyroid cartilage.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"13\"\/>Amit\u2019s brother, Monu, lodged an FIR under BNS section 103(1) (murder) and 61(2)(a) (criminal conspiracy) based on the postmortem findings. Police filed the chargesheet on June 26, 2025.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"15\"\/>Police said Amar bought the snake from a snake charmer for Rs 1,000, claiming it was needed for a religious gathering. The snake charmer later testified as a prosecution witness.
