On Wednesday, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said Moscow was grateful to New Delhi for its willingness to help and the ideas it has proposed.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"2\"\/>\u201cIndeed, India is declaring readiness to make a feasible contribution to resolving the situation surrounding Ukraine,\u201d Peskov said, according to state-run TASS, while responding to reports that India had sent a new three-part proposal for a peaceful resolution.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"4\"\/>\u201cWe are grateful to our Indian friends for such readiness and the ideas that are being offered,\u201d he added.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"6\"\/>Peskov\u2019s remarks come days after Ukrainian foreign minister Andrii Sybiha said India\u2019s proposal for a possible ceasefire was the \u201cbroadest\u201d among four offers received by Kyiv. <!-- -->The other proposals were from Turkiye, Egypt and the US.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"11\"\/>\u201cWe have four proposals. The broadest one is India\u2019s proposal. We are ready for an energy and Black Sea ceasefire, but only in this combination,\u201d Sybiha told reporters in Kyiv on Friday, according to European Pravda.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"13\"\/>India\u2019s efforts have also received praise from Russian president Vladimir Putin.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"15\"\/>Ahead of the BRICS summit in New Delhi last month, Putin and Modi held talks during which the Russian leader briefed the Prime Minister on the Ukraine conflict and ongoing peace initiatives.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"18\"\/>On Friday, Putin said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had \u201cgood ideas\u201d aimed at finding mutually acceptable solutions to the conflict.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"20\"\/>\u201cPrime Minister Narendra Modi is one of those world leaders who, despite our very good and even friendly relations, personal good relations, constantly raises the question and asks the question about putting an end to the conflict in Ukraine,\u201d Putin said.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"22\"\/>\u201cHe has an avid interest and very good ideas aimed at finding mutually acceptable solutions. <!-- -->In that sense, naturally, the Prime Minister takes a neutral position but with an interest in the end of the conflict,\u201d he added.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"26\"\/>Putin also said, \u201cI think it\u2019s my duty to say that directly. He said New Delhi was focusing on issues including the safety of shipping in the Black Sea, grain exports and energy supplies.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"34\"\/>India has consistently advocated dialogue and diplomacy to resolve the conflict, now in its fifth year.
