law and order in West Bengal, claiming that more than 2,400 rape cases were recorded in the state in just five months.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"2\"\/>In a post on X, the All India Trinamool Congress cited figures attributed to the State Crime Records Bureau and claimed that 2,454 rape cases were registered during the five-month period.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"4\"\/>The party also cited figures for other crimes, claiming that Bengal recorded 600 murder cases, 13,114 attempted murder cases and 32,341 cases of assault causing grievous hurt during the same period.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"6\"\/>\u201c2,400+ RAPE CASES IN BENGAL IN JUST 5 MONTHS UNDER BJP!\u201d the TMC said in its post, accusing the BJP of turning Bengal into a \u201csafe and secure Bengal\u201d, asking whether the crime figures reflected the reality behind its promises.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"15\"\/>\u201cIs this the \u2018safe and
