Police said the kidnapping allegation was being probed. When contacted, an official at The Ashok said those involved in the incident were guests of SOHO, a separate entity and club that operates from premises leased from the hotel.‘Men removed car’s number plate to conceal their identity’The official said The Ashok hotel had no connection with the incident as those involved were guests of SOHO, a separate entity. Members of both groups were taken to the police station for questioning. The woman and others were taken to RML Hospital for medical examination. Police records show no fresh external injuries were found on four members of her group. Police also preserved blood samples of members of both groups.Based on the PCR call, circumstances at the spot, medical reports and the complaint, police registered an FIR under Sections 115(2) (voluntarily causing hurt), 126(2) (wrongful restraint) and 3(5) (common intention) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
