Police have invoked relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Representation of the People Act.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"8\"\/>&#8220;Following a complaint that the BLA submitted forms for deletion of 30 electors, we have registered an FIR. The matter is under investigation,&#8221; a police official told PTI.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"10\"\/>Earlier, Telangana Congress leaders had approached Chief Electoral Officer C Sudharshan Reddy, alleging that Balachander, the BJP&#8217;s BLA in Musheerabad, had submitted Form-7 applications seeking deletion of the names of 30 electors.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"12\"\/>The Congress alleged that the applications amounted to an attempt to unlawfully remove genuine voters from the electoral rolls and sought legal action against those responsible.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"15\"\/>The Telangana Congress also approached Hyderabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar, seeking registration of an FIR and an SIT investigation into what it described as a suspected BJP plan to carry out large-scale deletion of genuine voters during the SIR.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"17\"\/>In its complaint, the Congress alleged that the BJP BLA in the Musheerabad assembly constituency had submitted Form-7 applications seeking deletion of the names of another BJP BLA, Sharfuddin, and members of his family.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"20\"\/>Form-7 is used by voters to file objections to the proposed inclusion or seek deletion of a name from an existing electoral roll.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"22\"\/>The BJP has rejected the allegations.
