Police said the case was registered as part of their routine enforcement duties.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"6\"\/>Nizamabad police commissioner P Sai Chaitanya said there was no direct connection between police and the reason that led Sudhakar to attempt suicide.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"10\"\/>\u201cThere is no fault on the part of police in the incident that occurred at the Bhimgal police station,\u201d the commissioner said.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"12\"\/>According to the preliminary information received by police, a grocery shop located opposite Sudhakar\u2019s tea stall was allegedly unhappy that he was not buying cigarettes from the shop.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"15\"\/>The shop owner allegedly sent two men to threaten Sudhakar, police said.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"17\"\/>The commissioner said Sudhakar had apparently been upset over the alleged threats by the men and subsequently came to the police station carrying a bottle of petrol and a matchbox.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"20\"\/>Around 9:45 am, he allegedly attempted suicide on the station premises.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"22\"\/>Police personnel and complainants at the station immediately intervened, doused the flames and shifted Sudhakar to the government hospital for treatment.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"24\"\/>His condition was reported to be serious.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"26\"\/>Police said the incident was being examined
