Daram Supriya, a native of Maripeda in Mahabubabad district, was returning home after closing her restaurant when the accident occurred, family members said.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"4\"\/>While Supriya died on the spot, her friend, who was accompanying her and is from Kodad in Telangana\u2019s Suryapet district, sustained serious injuries. According to reports, the friend was shifted to a nearby hospital, where she is undergoing treatment.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"6\"\/>\u201cWe have no words. We are in a state of shock after learning about the incident,\u201d said D Srinivas, Supriya\u2019s father, who currently lives near Naidupeta Circle in Khammam. <!-- -->He has written to chief minister A Revanth Reddy, urging the govt to help bring his daughter\u2019s mortal remains to India for the last rites. According to him, the accident occurred at around 1.40 am.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"11\"\/>He said the couple lived in Wentzville, Missouri. While Supriya ran a restaurant, her husband, Kodumuri Ranjith, also from Mahabubabad, works in the software sector. The couple married about five years ago and have a two-and-a-half-year-old son. Both families in Telangana were informed about Supriya\u2019s death by Ranjith.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"16\"\/>Supriya\u2019s relatives have also sought help from the police and politicians through social media.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"18\"\/>\u201cOur sister, Daram Supriya, from Khammam met with a car accident in Missouri.
