explosives supply network, arresting one accused.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"1\"\/>In a post shared by the DGP Punjab Police on X, the police said the operation also resulted in the recovery of an AK-47 rifle, a magazine, live cartridges and two hand grenades.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"4\"\/>Preliminary investigation has revealed that the accused is allegedly linked to foreign-based smugglers and was involved in procuring illegal weapons, police said.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"6\"\/><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"8\"\/>An FIR has been registered at Gharinda police station in Amritsar under relevant sections of the Arms Act and Explosive Substances Act.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"10\"\/>Further investigation is underway to uncover the wider network and establish its backward and forward linkages, police said.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"12\"\/>The Punjab Police said it remained committed to maintaining strict vigil against illegal arms trafficking and organised criminal networks and taking firm action against those involved in the illegal supply
