<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\nIndia on Friday hit back at Pakistan at the UN General Assembly, rejecting Islamabad\u2019s remarks on Jammu and Kashmir<\/a> and accusing its \u201cso-called\u201d civilian governments of serving \u201cat the mercy\u201d of the army.Exercising its Right of Reply during a Third Committee meeting, first secretary at the Permanent Mission of India to the UN Bhavika Mangalanandan said Pakistan\u2019s civilian governments \u201crarely complete their terms\u201d, while accusing Islamabad of using cross-border terrorism to divert attention from domestic discontent.Accoridng to news agency PTI, India \u201ccategorically\u201d rejected Pakistan\u2019s remarks on Jammu and Kashmir, asserting that the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh were, are and will always remain \u201cintegral and inalienable\u201d parts of India.\u201cWe all know that the so-called civilian governments in Pakistan serve at the mercy of their army and rarely complete their terms,\u201d Mangalanandan said.Referring to jailed former Pakistan prime minister Imran Khan, she said a \u201cformer Prime Minister continues to remain in jail, even as his health is reported to be fast deteriorating.\u201dShe also said the erstwhile ruling party had not been allowed to contest elections.\u201cInstead of addressing domestic discontent, Pakistan seeks to distract by fomenting instability in India and sponsoring, inciting, abetting, and financing cross-border terrorism in my country for more than three decades,\u201d she said.Turning to Jammu and Kashmir, Mangalanandan said, \u201cThe only outstanding matter is a vacation of the territory Pakistan holds under illegal and forcible occupation.She accused Pakistan of attempting to divert attention from unrest in the country.\u201cThis is a desperate attempt by Pakistan to mask the ongoing tragedy in Rawalakot and its other cities, the killing of hundreds of civilians, and the brutal crackdown across Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, for merely demanding bread, electricity and human dignity,\u201d she said.India also invoked the term \u201cForm 47\u201d, used in reference to allegations of rigging and manipulation in Pakistan\u2019s 2024 general elections.\u201cWhen any free media is banned from covering such news in Pakistan, the evidence becomes undeniable for the global community that only the writ of the Form 47 government and their masters and the army headquarters runs large,\u201d she said.Contrasting this with Jammu and Kashmir, India said Assembly Elections were held there in 2024, followed by a peaceful transfer of power to an elected government.\u201cThe contrast could not have been starker. The only human rights violation taking place in Kashmir is perpetrated by the armed forces of Pakistan and their terrorist proxies. Propaganda does not become fact through repetition,\u201d Mangalanandan said.\u201cPakistan would serve its people better by confronting its own fault lines and building its economy than by coveting
