Brady and Gronkowski spent much of their careers creating difficult moments for Buffalo, and their return to the Bills\u2019 stadium reminded fans of that history.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"5\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h2> Bills veteran Micah Hyde opens up on Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski\u2019s FOX role<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p>During the Buffalo Plus podcast, Hyde explained why he did not enjoy seeing Brady and Gronkowski involved in the broadcast of the Bills\u2019 Week 3 game on September 21, 2026.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"10\"\/>\u201cTom Brady calling Bills games, I\u2019m not a fan of. And Gronk on the sideline talking to Josh before, like, not a fan of that,\u201d Hyde said on the podcast.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"12\"\/>Hyde also reacted to Gronkowski\u2019s sideline interaction with Bills quarterback <a href=\"https:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/topic\/josh-allen\" styleobj=\"[object Object]\" class=\"\" commonstate=\"[object Object]\" frmappuse=\"1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Josh Allen<\/a> before the game and questioned why former Patriots players were covering a Buffalo matchup.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"16\"\/>The former Bills safety added that he did not want to see Brady at Highmark Stadium because of the history between the quarterback and Buffalo.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"19\"\/>\u201cGet out of here. No one, I don\u2019t wanna see you on TV talking, being at the Bills stadium and stuff,\u201d Hyde said during the podcast. \u201cYou know, you hate the Bills. And the Bills hate you.\u201d<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"21\"\/>The comments reflected the old AFC East rivalry between Buffalo and New England, especially during Brady\u2019s 20-year run with the Patriots.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"23\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h2> Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski\u2019s Patriots history still fuels Bills rivalry<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p>Brady dominated the Bills during his Patriots career. The seven-time Super Bowl champion finished his regular-season matchups against Buffalo with a 33-3 record.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"27\"\/>Gronkowski also played a major role in New England\u2019s success against the Bills. The tight end faced Buffalo 16 times and recorded 74 receptions for 1,132 yards and 12 touchdowns in those games.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"29\"\/>Hyde\u2019s relationship with the Patriots rivalry goes beyond Brady and Gronkowski\u2019s statistics. He spent seven seasons with Buffalo after joining the team in 2017 and became a key part of the defense alongside Jordan Poyer.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"31\"\/>During his Bills career, Hyde recorded 417 tackles and 16 interceptions. <!-- -->He earned two second-team All-Pro selections and one Pro Bowl appearance before retiring after the 2024 season.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"35\"\/>His frustration with New England also came from moments during his playing days. After a 2019 game against the Patriots where Josh Allen suffered a hit, Hyde criticized the officiating and referenced how players would have been treated if a similar play involved Brady.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"38\"\/>Meanwhile, Brady added another reminder of his history with Buffalo while calling the September 2026 game. <!-- -->During the broadcast, he joked about his success against the Bills, mentioning his record at the old Highmark Stadium.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"42\"\/>Despite the attention around the FOX broadcast team, Buffalo finished the night with the final say. The Bills defeated the Chargers 24-16 after overcoming a 10-0 deficit.
