In addition to these holidays, banks will remain closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of October in line with Reserve Bank of India (RBI) guidelines.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"7\"\/>Customers who need to make large cash deposits, get cheques processed or use other services that require a physical branch visit should plan such work around these closures.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"9\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h2>When and where will banks remain closed in October<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"11\"\/><span class=\"strong\" data-ua-type=\"1\" onclick=\"stpPgtnAndPrvntDefault(event)\">October 2:<\/span> Banks will remain closed nationwide on account of Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"14\"\/><span class=\"strong\" data-ua-type=\"1\" onclick=\"stpPgtnAndPrvntDefault(event)\">October 10:<\/span> Banks in Karnataka and West Bengal will remain closed on account of Mahalaya Amavasya.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"17\"\/><span class=\"strong\" data-ua-type=\"1\" onclick=\"stpPgtnAndPrvntDefault(event)\">October 17:<\/span> Banks in Tripura will remain closed on account of Maha Saptami.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"21\"\/><span class=\"strong\" data-ua-type=\"1\" onclick=\"stpPgtnAndPrvntDefault(event)\">October 19:<\/span> Banks in Tripura, Mizoram, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Assam, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand and Meghalaya will remain closed on account of Dussehra (Mahashtami)\/Maha Navami\/Ayutha Pooja\/Durga Puja\/Vijaya Dashomi\/Durga Ashtami.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"24\"\/><span class=\"strong\" data-ua-type=\"1\" onclick=\"stpPgtnAndPrvntDefault(event)\">October 20:<\/span> Banks in Tripura, Gujarat, Mizoram, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Chandigarh (UT), Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Assam, Telangana, Arunachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir (UT), Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Nagaland, West Bengal, Delhi, Goa, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Meghalaya, Himachal Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh will remain closed on account of Dasara\/Dussehra (Vijaya Dashami, also Sud-10)\/Mahanavami, Ayudhapooja\/Durga Puja.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"28\"\/><span class=\"strong\" data-ua-type=\"1\" onclick=\"stpPgtnAndPrvntDefault(event)\">October 21:<\/span> Banks in Tripura, Karnataka, Sikkim, Assam, West Bengal, Kerala and Thiruvananthapuram will remain closed on account of Vijaya Dashami\/Durga Puja (Dasain).<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"31\"\/><span class=\"strong\" data-ua-type=\"1\" onclick=\"stpPgtnAndPrvntDefault(event)\">October 22:<\/span> Banks in Sikkim will remain closed on account of Durga Puja (Dasain).<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"34\"\/><span class=\"strong\" data-ua-type=\"1\" onclick=\"stpPgtnAndPrvntDefault(event)\">October 23:<\/span> Banks in Sikkim will remain closed on account of Durga Puja (Dasain).<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"37\"\/><span class=\"strong\" data-ua-type=\"1\" onclick=\"stpPgtnAndPrvntDefault(event)\">October 26:<\/span> Banks in Tripura will remain closed on account of Laxmi Puja\/Accession Day\/Maharishi Valmiki&#8217;s Birthday.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"41\"\/><span class=\"strong\" data-ua-type=\"1\" onclick=\"stpPgtnAndPrvntDefault(event)\">October 29:<\/span> Banks in Chandigarh (UT) and Jammu and Kashmir (UT), as well as Himachal Pradesh, will remain closed on account of Karva Chauth.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"44\"\/><span class=\"strong\" data-ua-type=\"1\" onclick=\"stpPgtnAndPrvntDefault(event)\">October 31:<\/span> Banks in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh will remain closed on account of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel&#8217;s Birthday.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"48\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h2>Digital banking services to continue<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"50\"\/>While branch operations will be affected on these holidays, customers will continue to have access to digital banking services. ATMs, UPI, internet banking and mobile banking apps will remain available for routine activities.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"53\"\/>Customers can use these facilities for fund transfers, bill payments and account management.
