As he impressed everyone with a record breaking performance on the field, one of Travis Kelce&#8217;s major and most recent investments has landed itself in controversial trouble.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"3\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h2>Travis Kelce\u2019s investment in <keyword id=\"29747854\" type=\"Denny\" weightage=\"20\" keywordseo=\"Six-Flags\" source=\"keywords\">Six Flags<\/keyword> faces a closure of the infamous <keyword id=\"39656936\" type=\"Denny\" weightage=\"20\" keywordseo=\"X2-ride\" source=\"keywords\">X2 ride<\/keyword> ahead of the holiday season<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p>A few hours ago, as per reports, Six Flags\u2019 infamous X2 ride will be facing a closure after being shut down since July 2026. The shut down happened after two women landed in brain surgery, just hours after getting on the ride.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"6\"\/>Travis Kelce has found his name closely associated with the brand since he teamed up with activist hedge fund JANA Partners to invest a whopping $200 million for a 9% stake.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"9\"\/>Six Flags Magic Mountain Park President Brian Oerding posted on Six Flags&#8217; corporate website, &#8220;While X2 consistently passed a multitude of safety tests, we have decided to close the ride because we believe it\u2019s the right thing to do\u2026\u201d<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"11\"\/>Six Flags Magic Mountain Park President Brian Oerding added, \u201cRide safety is a cornerstone of our business, and when we see guest confidence affected, we take it seriously.&#8221;<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"15\"\/>But the trouble is far from over; Southern California-based Dordick Law Corp. has filed multiple lawsuits against Six Flags on behalf of hundreds who have complained of injuries after getting on the infamous ride.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"17\"\/>Gary A. Dordick said in a statement, &#8220;Closing the ride protects future guests, and we welcome that. But it does nothing for the people who have already been hurt\u2026\u201d<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"19\"\/>Gary A. Dordick added, &#8220;Six Flags must now take responsibility for them.&#8221;<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"22\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h3>What is the legal mess concerning Travis Kelce\u2019s Six Flags all about?<\/h3>\n<\/p>\n<p>Over the last few years, there have been increasing concern about ride safety, especially the infamous roller coaster X2, in Six Flags.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"25\"\/>In 2022, a healthy 22 year college graduate Christopher Howley lost his life just hours after getting on the X2 ride with his cousins.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"28\"\/>His family has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Six Flags and the trial is ongoing.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"30\"\/>In July 2026, two women were brutally injured and ended up with brain damage after getting on the ride.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"33\"\/>In the lawsuit filed against Six Flags, a woman named Pamela Guillen sustained injury in July after she took the ride with her daughter Camille.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"35\"\/>The lawsuit reads as, &#8220;When X2 returned to the station, Camille looked at her mother and saw her sitting with a vacant stare and her mouth open\u2026Camille initially thought Pamela was joking.
