Because of the rumours, students gathered here,&#8221; Toora told reporters.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"8\"\/>Videos circulating on social media showed students damaging window panes and flower pots on the university campus. <!-- -->Some objects were also seen being set on fire. Students blocked the Jalandhar-Phagwara national highway during the protest.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"14\"\/>Toora said police received information that students had gathered at the LPU campus around 1:45am and blocked a road.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"17\"\/>The SSP said police spoke to students who raised issues with the university administration.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"19\"\/>&#8220;We spoke to students who had some issues with the LPU administration. We heard them and are trying to get them resolved.
