(Image Social Media)<\/span><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>NEW DELHI: A Delhi University student was allegedly harassed by a group of men travelling in a car in northwest Delhi&#8217;s Mukherjee Nagar area, following which police registered a case on Thursday.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"2\"\/>The incident took place around 9:30 pm on Wednesday when Delhi University student Naman was driving the car. He was accompanied by two to three other persons when the alleged offence took place.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"4\"\/>&#8220;Police launched an inquiry based on the complaint and traced the car allegedly used in the incident,&#8221; Deputy Commissioner of Police (Northwest) Akansha Yadav said.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"6\"\/>An FIR has been registered at Mukherjee Nagar police station under sections 78 (Stalking), 79 (Word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) and 3(5) (Common intention) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"8\"\/>On the basis of a complaint from a woman student in Mukherjee Nagar that an SUV driver tried to pull her into the vehicle after he passed comments at her, the police have registered a case and are investigating the matter, said Delhi Police.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"10\"\/><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"11\"\/><span class=\"em\" data-ua-type=\"1\" onclick=\"stpPgtnAndPrvntDefault(event)\">(With Agency Inputs)<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/city\/delhi\/woman-complains-of-eve-teasing-by-group-of-men-in-delhis-mukherjee-nagar-fir-filed\/articleshow\/134455379.cms\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Source link <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>During the enquiry, police traced the vehicle allegedly involved in the incident.
