The vehicle was heavily damaged.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"4\"\/>Police suspect the driver allegedly failed to negotiate a turn near Lotus Jetty, opposite Lala Lajpatrai College.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"6\"\/>&#8220;The car was at a high speed. The driver couldn&#8217;t understand the turn and crashed into the outer railing, following which the car plunged from the bridge,&#8221; police said.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"10\"\/><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"12\"\/>The incident occurred at around 5.20am when the BMW was travelling from Marine Drive towards Haji Ali.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"14\"\/>All four occupants were rushed to the nearby civic-run Nair Hospital, where three were declared dead.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"16\"\/>The deceased were identified as Shanaya Gajjal, 21, Aditya Jakasania, 20, and Dhirya Seth, 17.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"19\"\/>The fourth occupant, an unidentified man aged around 20, sustained severe injuries and was admitted to the hospital&#8217;s trauma ward in critical condition, police said.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"22\"\/><\/p>\n<div data-pos=\"0\" class=\"id-r-component iIpbx undefined  &#10;        \">\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"-\" msid=\"134364622\" imgsize=\"45987\" resizemode=\"4\" width=\"\" title=\"Image Credit: Sanjay Hadkar\/TNN\" placeholdersrc=\"https:\/\/static.toiimg.com\/photo\/83033472.cms\" offsetvertical=\"0\" placeholdermsid=\"47529300\" type=\"thumb\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/static.toiimg.com\/photo\/imgsize-45987,msid-134364622\/.jpg\" data-api-prerender=\"true\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Image Credit: Sanjay Hadkar\/TNN<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"24\"\/>Shanaya Gajjal and Aditya Jakasania were students of a management college in Juhu, while Dhirya Seth studied at a college in Kurla, police said.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"26\"\/>All four students were originally from Ahmedabad, according to police.
