I think he\u2019s done a great job. You know, I think there\u2019s gonna be a play, too, that he makes\u2026that allows him to take off, but I thought he played fast last week. I thought he played decisively, and I think he\u2019s just gonna keep on getting better.\u201d<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"9\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h2>Aaron Rodgers does not care about Roman Wilson\u2019s target count<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p>When another reporter stressed why Aaron Rodgers didn\u2019t give a [&#8212;] about the target list, he said, \u201cBecause the ball goes to the open guy\u2026So, I don\u2019t wanna hear people talking about\u2026Nobody in the locker room talks about their targets. <!-- -->That\u2019s all for you guys to talk about.\u201d<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"16\"\/>Then another reporter asked if Rodgers\u2019 career teammates ever spoke about targets, or if Steelers teammates in particular didn\u2019t talk about targets.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"18\"\/>He replied, \u201cThere\u2019s certain guys that need to get targets. And everybody else gets in the flow. That\u2019s the reality of just about every offense in the league.\u201d<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"20\"\/>The supposed constant pestering from reporters finally got them the reply they needed! Roman Wilson was probably his second-favorite target in Pittsburgh. After DK Metcalf but before Michael Pittman Jr.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"24\"\/>Anyhow, speaking of targets, Rodgers uses a unique method to choose his targets. A former wide receiver who played with Rodgers said that Rodgers\u2019 unique method is stressful for wide receivers.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"26\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h2><keyword id=\"3800364\" type=\"General\" weightage=\"20\" keywordseo=\"adam-thielen\" source=\"Orion\">Adam Thielen<\/keyword> explains why Aaron Rodgers is stressful for target wide receivers<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p>Adam Thielen reportedly said Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is stressful for his wide receivers: \u201cIf you mess up a hand signal, you will not get the ball for a week and maybe longer.\u201d<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"30\"\/>Adam Thielen told ESPN\u2019s NFL Live that Rodgers is stressful for his wide receivers because the veteran quarterback can read defenses, demand communication, and constantly change routes with hand signals.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"32\"\/>\u201cAnd if you mess up a hand signal, you will not get the ball for a week and maybe longer. If you\u2019re a rookie, you\u2019re not on the field again,\u201d former Steelers wide receiver Adam Thielen revealed a few months back.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"34\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h2>Aaron Rodgers invented hand signals for his receivers <\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p>Adam Thielen retired in January 2026. He played the 2025 season for the Minnesota Vikings and the Pittsburgh Steelers.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"38\"\/>Thielen described playing with Aaron Rodgers as \u201cwild, an opportunity, and unbelievable.\u201d<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"40\"\/>\u201cI have known him [Aaron Rodgers] for a long time, played a lot of golf, but it\u2019s a lot different playing with him.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"42\"\/>It was wild. He has an entire offense out of the offense. Basically, it\u2019s all hand signals. It wasn\u2019t necessarily difficult to learn the playbook, but learning that was extremely challenging. And took so much time and effort.\u201d<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"46\"\/>Thielen reached the Pittsburgh facility for a Wednesday meeting and played on Sunday. He kept asking Rodgers questions leading up to the game, but Rodgers probably didn\u2019t want any business talking to him at the time.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"48\"\/>Nevertheless, Thielen wanted to be on the same page as Rodgers because he knew him: \u201cIf you mess up something, you\u2019re probably not ever touching the field again. I wasn\u2019t willing to take that risk.\u201d<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"50\"\/>Thielen put in hours to find out what Rodgers does. But he is glad for the things he learned. He got a glimpse of why Mike Tomlin and Aaron Rodgers were so great in 2025. The Steelers won the division title then. Will it happen again?
