<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\nGURGAON: The father of biker Sia, whose video alleging a hit-and-run on Golf Course Road went viral, said he learnt about the incident only an hour earlier and would have filed an FIR himself had he known about it.Speaking to the media, Sia\u2019s father said, \u201cI only found out about the accident an hour ago. Otherwise, I would have gone and filed an FIR myself\u201d.\u201cIt wasn\u2019t even night; it happened during the day,\u201d Sia\u2019s father added.\u201cWe are fortunate that our daughter wasn\u2019t hurt. I asked her, \u2018If such an incident happened, why didn\u2019t you tell us? You should have told us when you got home,\u201d Sia\u2019s father further added.According to Sia said, she would file an FIR with her lawyer by Monday evening and take legal action in the matter.In an Instagram story, Sia thanked people for their support and said she had seen efforts being made to identify the person involved in the incident. She also said she was receiving requests from news channels and journalists for interviews but would not be speaking to the media.\u201cI do not wish to reveal my identity or face, and I won’t be giving any interviews this time,\u201d Sia said, asking people to respect her decision.She added that she would keep them updated and asked those seeking more information to contact her through Instagram.Sia had earlier shared a video recorded on an action camera mounted on her motorcycle, alleging that a car repeatedly followed her while she was riding with a group of bikers on Sunday before hitting her motorcycle and fleeing.She alleged that the occupants appeared to be intoxicated and that the driver asked her to stop despite her asking him to maintain a safe distance. She said she continued riding ahead as she felt the situation was unsafe.The footage appears to show the car coming into contact with her motorcycle, knocking her off the bike and dragging the motorcycle for several metres before fleeing.Sia said one of her friends chased the car and confronted the driver at a traffic signal. According to her, the driver denied responsibility and drove away.The car owner, Manish, has since said the vehicle belonged to him but had been borrowed by his friend Kalyan Singh two days earlier. Manish said he was at work and learnt about the accident only on Monday morning. He said Singh did not answer his calls when he tried to contact him.Gurgaon Police has taken suo motu cognisance of the viral video and said the accused would be identified and arrested at the earliest.
