(PTI Photo)<\/span><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>NEW DELHI: <a href=\"https:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/topic\/delhi-police\" styleobj=\"[object Object]\" class=\"\" commonstate=\"[object Object]\" frmappuse=\"1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Delhi Police<\/a> recovered a South African Brics delegate\u2019s bag containing around Rs 3 lakh in Indian and US currency from a cab within 35 minutes of receiving information about its disappearance, returning it to him just before he was scheduled to leave for South Africa.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"4\"\/>The delegate, who was in Delhi to attend the Brics Summit, had visited a mall in Gurugram before returning to a hotel in central Delhi. The missing bag was subsequently recovered from under a seat of the vehicle, officials said.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"17\"\/>According to police, the driver initially tried to evade the police but later cooperated, leading to the recovery of the bag.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"19\"\/>After verification, the entire cash amount was handed back to the delegate at 8.15 pm, nearly 30 minutes before his scheduled departure for South Africa.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"21\"\/>The delegate had been in the national capital to participate in the Brics Summit.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/india\/delhi-police-recover-brics-delegates-cash-filled-bag-from-cab-in-35-minutes\/articleshow\/134242069.cms\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Source link <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>File photo: A police official stands guard near a floral installation of the Brics logo during the 18th BRICS Summit, in New Delhi.
