Since then, 108 individuals have been rescued from the ship, said by the authorities. Ship was travelling to Banjarmasin in South Kalimantan from Surabaya in East Java; according to the rescue organization.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"4\"\/>On Sunday about 2 a.m, the contact was lost with the ferry and after two hours authorities receieved the information that the vessel had overturned in the Java Sea&#8217;s Masalembo water, about 148 kilometers from Banjarmasin.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"8\"\/><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"10\"\/>The search was hampered on Monday by choppy waters with heavy waves and strong gusts, said Mohammad Syafii, head of the national rescue agency.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"12\"\/>622 personnel, 17 ships, five helicopter and aircraft have been deployed by the agency to search the missing passengers, stated by the Syaffi.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"15\"\/>Rescuers found it challenging to enter the capsized ship. Personnel with underwater rescue skills will also be deployed, but currently we are not allowed to do it due to bad current condition. We are waiting for the weather condition to improve; added Syaffi.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"19\"\/>Two tiny boats carrying passengers were spotted near the crashed ship, drifting in choppy waters. The weather was quite bad at the time of the incident happened, and waves as high as three meters crashed against the ship, according to Syafii,<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"21\"\/>From Trisakti port, it takes around five hours to get there in pleasant weather however in difficult circumstances, it might take up to nine hours.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"23\"\/>The incident on sunday occurred only four days after a fire in the Philippines destroyed a passenger ferry, killing at least 76 people and leaving at least ten more unaccounted for.<\/div>\n<p><br
