NEW DELHI: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday registered an FIR in connection with the death of Disha Salian, the former manager of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, following an order of the Bombay high court.The FIR names several individuals whose roles have been listed for investigation, including Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aditya Thackeray<\/a>, Rohan Roy, actors Dino Morea and Sooraj Pancholi, Aaditya Thackeray’s bodyguards, Rhea Chakraborty<\/a>, Showik Chakraborty, former police officer Sachin Vaze, former Mumbai police commissioner Param Bir Singh, DCP Vishal Thakur and former Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray.The document also names former state home minister Anil Deshmukh, several police officers, forensic officials, doctors and other individuals.\u201cThe then chief minister Uddhav Thackeray, father of Aaditya Thackeray, and others also played a significant role in the conspiracy and subsequent cover-up. The concerned public servants and police officers are also liable to be investigated for destruction or suppression of case papers, files and other public records, fabrication of official records, and misuse of public funds, manpower and police machinery for unlawful purposes and for shielding the offenders,\u201d the FIR stated.The FIR said the listed individuals would be investigated in connection with the alleged principal offences, criminal conspiracy, the \u201csubsequent creation and propagation of the false suicide story\u201d and the alleged suppression, destruction or fabrication of evidence.It also named officers associated with Malvani Police Station, doctors and staff involved in the post-mortem, officials of the Forensic Science Laboratory in Kalina, security guards of Regent Galaxy Building, members of the special investigation team and other unidentified persons.Bombay HC orders CBI probe<\/span>Earlier this month, the Bombay high court ordered a CBI investigation into Salian\u2019s death and criticised the Mumbai Police for failing to register an FIR for six years.The court observed that the police investigation \u201craises more questions than answers\u201d. The bench also questioned the decision to treat the case only as an accidental death and pointed to \u201cglaring discrepancies\u201d in the investigation.Salian died on June 8, 2020, after falling from a residential building in Mumbai\u2019s Malad area. Mumbai Police had registered an Accidental Death Report (ADR) in the case.Salian had briefly worked as Rajput\u2019s manager. The actor was found dead at his Bandra residence on June 14, 2020, six days after Salian\u2019s death. The proximity of the two deaths triggered widespread speculation about a possible link, although the cases were investigated separately.<\/p>\n
