Facebook<\/a> founder Mark Zuckerberg<\/a> has resumed his activity on Elon Musk<\/a>\u2019s social network X in 2026, ending a three-year hiatus away from the rival microblogging platform. He originally restarted posting on the platform to announce news regarding Muse Spark 1.1 AI model. Since then, Meta CEO has been a regular on the microblogging website. His latest post was on September 9 when he introduced \u201cMuse, the personal agent that understands your goals and works 24\/7 to get things done for you.\u201d Around the same time, he was asked on a podcast why he chose to cross-post updates on an opposing network despite running Meta\u2019s direct alternative, Threads. Rather than using the service purely for personal promotion, Zuckerberg revealed that the decision came down to reaching specific engineering talent and researchers who remain deeply rooted on X.<\/p>\n

Defending his decision to maintain an active presence across multiple digital channels, Zuckerberg emphasised that different audiences cluster in distinct online spaces. A significant portion of the machine learning and research community continues to gather and communicate primarily on X, creating a space where the company needs an active corporate presence.He noted that modern publishing resembles producing a podcast where creators debut material on one venue first, but broad reach requires sharing it out broadly. Zuckerberg said:I’m on Threads. Yeah, obviously, Threads is doing great. Look, there are different communities in different places. There\u2019s a lot of AI folks that are on X and I think part of what you try to do with social media is just communicate where people are right. It’s kind of when you do a podcast, or when you post, you probably put it first in one place and then put it everywhere. So, I push the same things on threads and X, and some people are like, \u201cwhy are you posting this on X?\u201d<\/span>While reaffirming that Threads is thriving, Zuckerberg acknowledged confusion from onlookers who wonder why he continues posting on Musk’s service.\u201cIt\u2019s like when I push it there [Threads], I’ll engage there [X], too. So, I think it’s all good, but I do think that \u2013 to some degree \u2013 some of the community is on X, and we want to be able to engage where people are,\u201d<\/span> he added.Essentially, Zuckerberg\u2019s return to X is serving as a ‘megaphone’ for Meta’s AI launches in the year. The company is promoting its AI models to developers and customers.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
