The historic Tudor-style mansion, known as Moyenage, covers about 21,000 square feet across roughly 3.5 acres overlooking Lake Erie.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"7\"\/>The estate dates back to 1895 and comes with features that make it more like a private retreat than a typical home. <!-- -->It has eight bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, a guest cottage, home theater, wine cellar, fitness center, sauna and heated pool.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"12\"\/>Kelce reportedly paid $5.35 million for the property after it had been listed for $6.99 million. Yet the size and location of the estate also create a challenge that many high-profile homeowners face: balancing privacy with the expectations of the surrounding community.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"14\"\/>According to a report from celebrity outlet Deuxmoi, the proposed fencing became a sticking point for some nearby residents. Their concern was that part of the original plan could obstruct views of Lake Erie from neighboring properties.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"18\"\/>&#8220;A source tells Deuxmoi the couple is allegedly putting up a fence around the property and some neighbors aren\u2019t exactly thrilled, claiming it could interfere with their lake views,\u201d the outlet wrote.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"21\"\/>The issue reportedly prompted discussions with neighbors. Importantly, the portion of the proposal that would have pushed the fence farther toward the beach was later abandoned.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"24\"\/>\u201cAccording to the source, that portion of the plan has since been scrapped,\u201d Deuxmoi reported.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"26\"\/>That change could help prevent a relatively small property dispute from becoming a larger source of tension.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"28\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h2>Travis Kelce faces privacy challenge in Bratenahl<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p>Privacy is a major consideration for Kelce, given the attention that follows him well beyond the football field. Once news of the purchase became public, fans reportedly began showing interest in the property.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"31\"\/>That makes security especially important. At the same time, Bratenahl is a close-knit community where residents value their lakefront surroundings and relationships with neighbors.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"34\"\/>Local resident Sharon Klonowski suggested that the couple could eventually become part of a community fundraising tradition that allows visitors to see some of the village\u2019s lakefront homes.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"36\"\/>\u201cI don\u2019t want to jinx it,\u201d Klonowski said. \u201cBut I bet Taylor and Travis would do it in a heartbeat.\u201d<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"38\"\/>Bratenahl Mayor John Licastro also stressed that the village wants to welcome the high-profile newcomers while respecting their need for personal space.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"41\"\/>\u201cWe take pride in being a welcoming community, where people can feel connected to their neighbors and also comfortable enjoying their private lives,\u201d Licastro said.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"43\"\/>\u201cPart of being a good neighbor is offering a warm welcome, and also giving people the privacy and space to simply be at home, no matter who lives next door.\u201d<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"46\"\/>For Kelce, the move carries a personal meaning that goes beyond real estate. He grew up in nearby Cleveland Heights and has spoken about enjoying the chance to reconnect with his hometown.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"49\"\/>\u201cGetting Tay back to Cleveland and showing her my roots is always something I love doing,\u201d he said on the New Heights podcast.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"51\"\/>The fence dispute may be an early hurdle, but the response from local officials suggests there is still plenty of goodwill.
