Instead, he spoke about it as a trade-off- one that came with a prestigious and demanding responsibility. <!-- -->\u201cWhile I was serving with the president, I couldn\u2019t go out as a normal human being and enjoy life,\u201d he said.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"15\"\/>After years of service and three years as President Murmu\u2019s ADC, Sambyal chose to step away from the military rather than continue indefinitely at the cost of his personal life. So there\u2019s a clause for the ADCs [to the President] that they can\u2019t get married,\u201d he revealed. \u201cI have to stay away from the family, and I think this is the biggest sacrifice,\u201d he said. \u201cSo you don\u2019t have life outside. That\u2019s the cost I\u2019ve paid,\u201d Sambyal said.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"24\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h2>His three years with President Murmu were personal too<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<div data-pos=\"0\" class=\"id-r-component iIpbx undefined  &#10;        \">\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Rishabh Sambyal recalled feeling that President Murmu was like his mother.&lt;br&gt;\" msid=\"134064279\" imgsize=\"1308695\" resizemode=\"4\" width=\"\" title=\"Rishabh Sambyal recalled feeling that President Murmu was like his mother.\" placeholdersrc=\"https:\/\/static.toiimg.com\/photo\/83033472.cms\" offsetvertical=\"0\" placeholdermsid=\"47529300\" type=\"thumb\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/static.toiimg.com\/photo\/imgsize-1308695,msid-134064279\/rishabh-sambyal-recalled-feeling-that-president-murmu-was-like-his-mother-br.jpg\" data-api-prerender=\"true\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Rishabh Sambyal recalled feeling that President Murmu was like his mother.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"27\"\/>Interestingly, the same job that left little room for an ordinary personal life also gave Sambyal a relationship he remembers with affection.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"29\"\/>In the podcast, he recalled meeting President Murmu for the first time and feeling that \u201cmy mother is standing in front of me\u201d. <!-- -->He said that because of his military career, he had not lived with his own mother since 2014, usually returning home only briefly before leaving again for months. His three years with President Murmu were different.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"33\"\/>\u201cBut this was the actual time when I was spending my entire three years with the president,\u201d he said. He described her nature as \u201cvery homely\u201d and said the warmth she showed him and the other ADCs made him miss his own mother.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"37\"\/>Rishabh Sambyal\u2019s words revealed two different sides of his stint as the President\u2019s ADC.
